LibreOffice: Protect document with password - is that possible?
You can protect a LibreOffice document with a password. The file can then only be opened with the associated password.
Protect the LibreOffice document with a password
- In your LibreOffice document, click "File"> "Save As ...".
- In the file browser window, select the "Save with password" check box under the file type.
- Click on "Save".
- Enter a password in the password window and confirm it by entering it again.
- Finally, click OK".
- The next time you open it, you must first enter the password so that the LibreOffice document can be opened.
