Control LibreOffice slides with your Android smartphone - how it works
You can easily turn your Android smartphone into a remote control to control LibreOffice slides. We will show you how to do this here.
Activate the remote function in LibreOffice
- Download the latest version of the LibreOffice suite.
- Open "Impress".
- Click on "Tools" and then on "Options".
- Select "LibreOffice Impress" and then "General".
- Place a checkmark in front of "Activate remote control".
- Then restart Impress.
Connect the Android smartphone to the PC
- Download "LibreOffice Impress Remote" from the Google Play Store.
- Now activate Bluetooth on your smartphone and on your PC, then open the presentation on your computer and the app on your smartphone.
- "LibreOffice Impress Remote" now searches for your PC. You can select the computer for remote control from a list.
- In order to control your presentation via WLAN, click on "Add computer manually via radio network" in the app.
- After you have successfully established the connection, the presentation appears on your smartphone.
- You can now navigate through the presentation using the volume up / down buttons or by tapping the corresponding slides.
