LibreOffice: Create table of contents - how it works
With the free Office package LibreOffice you can also structure texts with a table of contents. In this practical tip, we will show you how to create this.
Create LibreOffice table of contents
The easiest way to create a table of contents is to provide each heading with a paragraph template. You can then have the directory created automatically:
- So write a heading and then mark it. Right-click on the heading and choose "Edit Paragraph Style". Then, in the following window, call up "Heading" under "Follow-up template" and confirm with "OK".
- You can now generate a table of contents from this: To do this, click on "Insert"> "Directories"> "Directories" in the top horizontal bar. Make the settings as shown in the picture.
- Now a table of contents with headings and page numbers is created.
