LibreOffice: Insert text field - how it works
In LibreOffice the function for inserting text fields is somewhat hidden. You can find out where you can find this practical formatting aid in this practical tip.
How to insert text fields in LibreOffice
- Open the "Libre Office Writer".
- Now open the "drawing functions". To do this, click on "Show drawing functions" in the toolbar. Alternatively, you can find the option under the "View"> "Toolbar"> "Drawing" tab.
- Another symbol bar opens at the bottom of the window. Press the icon with the "T" here.
- A text field opens that you can open with the left mouse button.
- After you let go of the text field, you can write in it.
- You can correct the position by clicking on the frame of the text field.
- Finally, left-click next to the text field. Now you can see the result. If you would like to edit the text field further, simply click on the text again.
