LibreOffice: How do I insert footnotes and endnotes?
Footnotes and endnotes are helpful, for example, to indicate sources. In LibreOffice you can set them with just a few clicks - read exactly how here.
Insert footnotes at LibreOffice - how it works
- Click with the mouse behind the word you want to put a footnote on.
- Then open the "Footnote / Endnote ..." menu item in the "Insert" tab.
- A new menu will open, which you have to confirm with "Ok".
- At the bottom of the page, the footnote appears separated by a line.
- Clicking the footnote takes you back to the linked word in the text.
How to add endnotes to LibreOffice
- Go to "Footnote / Endnote ..." again under "Insert".
- This time, select the "Endnotes" item in the submenu.
- You can now have the lists generated automatically. However, it is also possible to insert any character manually.
- Now confirm the change with "OK".
- You will now find the final grade on the last page.
