Tutorial: The basics of Lightroom Mobile

The "Lightroom Mobile" app brings the most important functions from the original Photoshop Lightroom. With the app you can change all basic values ​​such as the exposure or the contrast of images.

• First you have to log in with your Adobe account. To use the app you need an "Adobe Creative Cloud" membership. Without the integrated cloud and the original Lightroom on the computer, the range of functions of the app is very limited.
• On the home screen you will see an overview of collections. To be able to edit images from your computer here, you must first synchronize them on the computer. You do this by clicking on the two arrows to the left of a collection on your computer. However, the original images are not transferred, only a preview provided by Lightroom.
• Within a collection you can select images, edit them fundamentally and then share them. Your changes to the image are automatically transferred to the Adobe Creative Cloud so that you can continue working in Lightroom on your computer later.

Import images into Lightroom Mobile

You can also add collections from your mobile device to collections. Please note that Lightroom Mobile has not yet been able to import images in RAW format.

• JPG images do not contain all the information Lightroom Mobile needs to make changes without loss. Your editing options are therefore limited.
• It will take some time later to upload your pictures, because instead of downloading the preview of Lightroom, you are now sending whole pictures back and forth.
• However, with Lightroom Mobile you can quickly put simple filters over images and then share them.

Tutorial: Edit images in Lightroom Mobile

Lightroom Mobile offers you all the options that Lightroom offers you on the PC, with the exception of complex computational retouching tools.

1. When editing an image, you can first change the image section. To do this, touch the right of the 3 symbols with the grid in the work area below and move the window.
2. You can then correct the exposure. To do this, select the left icon with the sliders and change, for example, the exposure, the white balance as well as the highlights and shadows.
3. Finally, you can put a color look or a black and white filter over your image. To do this, touch the middle icon and select one of the available effects.
4. Any changes you make will be automatically uploaded after a few seconds if you have an internet connection. You can switch between tablet and computer almost without losing time.
5. You can also share images from Lightroom Mobile. To do this, click on the share icon at the top right and select a service or social network.
