Export Lightworks clip as MP4 - does that work?
In the free version of Lightworks, it is not possible to export a project as an MP4 media file without restrictions. With the following restrictions, you will still get your project as an MP4 file on your PC.
The format "Web / YouTube" as MP4
With the free version of Lightworks, you only have one option to export your project.
- Lightworks Free: Your project can only be exported as a YouTube format. Since this is an MPEG-4 video track, the file is also available as an MP4 container. However, there are restrictions. As known from YouTube, the videos are available in the sizes 240p, 360p, 480p, 720p and 1080p. In the free version, however, only the formats up to 720p are available.
- Lightworks Pro: All restrictions are lifted. You can export your project to any supported media file, including as an MP4. The 1080p YouTube format is also activated.
