Lightworks: insert effects
With the professional video editing program "Lightworks" you have numerous effects at your disposal. For example, you can insert text or soften the footage with the "Gaussian Blur" effect.
- Create project: At the beginning you have to create a new project and drag and drop the video to be edited from the "Import" window onto a free space. Then click on the "Effects .." field in the lower right corner of the "Edit" window.
- Effects browser: In the "Add Effects" window you can choose between different types of effects, such as 'Color' or 'Stylize'. Click on the small arrow in the "Category" area to get an overview. You can apply the effects to either the audio track or the video track. Click on an effect you like.
- Fine adjustments: To have the effect appear in your edit, click on "Add". All of your effects are listed in the following window. Further settings can be made there. The changes are displayed live in the preview window. If you want to target the effect at a specific point, you can create keyframes and animate the effect. To do this, click on the "+" sign under "Keyframes".
- Export: If you are satisfied with your project, you can export the video in the left toolbox.
