Lightworks: Create slow motion - how it works
Lightworks is a powerful video editing and editing tool that you can use for free on Windows. Slow motion can also be created in just a few simple steps. We show you how to do this.
Create slow motion in Lightworks
You can quickly set up a slow motion in Lightworks by changing the playback speed of the video:
- Open Lightworks and import your video clip.
- Click on the blue "Create a new edit" icon on the left and drag your clip into the editing window.
- Then select the video track "V1" with the mouse.
- Now click on "Advanced" at the bottom right to display the playback speed of the individual tracks.
- Click in the field that says "100%" and select a correspondingly lower value, such as "25%". Of course, you can also enter an individual percentage.
- Repeat this process for the audio tracks. The entire clip is then played in slow motion.
For a long time, Lightworks was only available in English. In this practical tip we show how you can now switch the language to German.
