We show you how you can easily make lemonade yourself. Especially on hot summer days we fancy refreshing lemonade. The following three recipes show that it tastes great with less sugar, but with fresh fruit.
Make lemonade yourself: the ingredients
A liter of lemonade is made from the following ingredients.
- Two lemons
- 1 liter of water
- 80 - 100 g sugar, depending on your taste
- lemon balm
- A pinch of salt
This is how the classic succeeds:
- Boil 500 ml of water in a saucepan with the sugar and a little salt. Leave the pot on the stove until the sugar has completely dissolved. If you stir occasionally, the sugar will dissolve more easily.
- Let the sugar water cool down. In the meantime, squeeze the lemons.
- Pour the lemon juice, the remaining water and the lemon balm into the cooled liquid.
- Fill the finished lemonade into a glass bottle or jug. Or pour the lemonade directly into the glass to enjoy it straight away.
Raspberry and ginger lemonade: you need it
- 700 ml of water
- 100 g raspberries, out of season frozen raspberries
- 100 - 120 g sugar, alternatively coconut blossom sugar or cane sugar
- 5 limes
- 1 thumb-sized piece of ginger
- 2 - 4 sprigs of rosemary
Here's how it works:
- Squeeze the limes. Heat the lime juice and 100 ml of water in a saucepan. Add the sugar while stirring until it has dissolved.
- Wash the rosemary sprigs and roughly chop them.
- Peel the ginger and cut it into thin slices.
- Put the rosemary and ginger in the saucepan. Let the syrup cool down.
- Spread the raspberries and syrup in glasses, which you fill up with the remaining water.
Make lemonade from strawberries and watermelon yourself: You need these ingredients
- 250 g strawberries, out of season frozen strawberries
- 2 limes
- 1/2 watermelon
- 3 - 5 tablespoons of sugar
- 250 ml water
It's so easy to prepare:
- Wash and clean the strawberries. Then shred them with a knife.
- Cut out the pulp of the melon and remove the seeds. Dice the pulp with a knife.
- Juice the limes.
- Puree strawberries, melon, lime juice and sugar with a blender or in a blender.
- Put the fruit puree in a jug and fill it with water. On particularly hot summer days, you can serve the lemonade with ice cubes.
