Linux CPU info: How to determine your processor
If you need information about your installed CPU under Linux, you can use a simple terminal command. This gives you detailed information such as the name of the processor and data about the individual cores.
CPU: processor info under Linux
Since Linux can analyze your system from the start, you do not have to download any additional programs. The integrated terminal is all you need:
- To do this, open the terminal using the key combination [Ctrl] + [Alt] + [T] or search for the program in the list of your programs.
- Now enter the command "sudo less / proc / cpuinfo" and press [Enter].
- You may have to confirm this with your root password.
- You will then receive detailed information about your installed processor. Among other things, the name of the processor, the manufacturer and other technical data are visible.
