The VLC Player is not part of Linux Fedora from the start, but you can install the program later. In this practical tip, we will show you how it's done.
Install VLC Player on Linux Fedora
- You need the RPM Fusion Repository to install VLC. To do this, start the terminal using the key combination [CTRL] + [ALT] + [T].
- Enter the following command here and confirm with the [Enter] key: $ su -c 'dnf install //download1.rpmfusion.org/free/fedora/rpmfusion-free-release-$(rpm -E% fedora) .noarch.rpm //download1.rpmfusion.org/nonfree/fedora/rpmfusion-nonfree-release-$(rpm -E% fedora) .noarch.rpm '
- If you answer "Yes" afterwards, the RPM Fusion Repository will be added to Linux Fedora.
- You can now install the VLC player using the following command: $ su -c 'dnf -y install vlc'
- Like any other program, VLC Player can be found in the list of installed programs.

- $ su -c 'dnf -y install ffmpeg ffmpeg-libs gstreamer-ffmpeg'
- $ su -c 'dnf -y install libaacs libbdplus'
- $ su -c 'rpm -ivh //rpm.livna.org/livna-release.rpm'
- $ su -c 'dnf -y update && dnf -y install libdvdcss'
