To find out your hardware info under Linux, you don't have to search the system for hours. Linux contains a program in every distribution with which you can easily read the hardware information.
Read hardware info under Linux
You can quickly determine your installed hardware using one of the programs integrated in Linux:
- To do this, open the terminal with the key combination [Ctrl] + [Alt] + [T].
- Enter the command "sudo lshw -short" without quotes.
- Confirm the entry - if necessary - with your password.
- Linux now lists your hardware and displays it line by line.
- Insider tip: Alternatively, use the "sudo lshw" command to get more detailed information about your hardware.
