Linux Mint: Install and activate the firewall - how it works
Note: A firewall is already installed under Linux Mint, but deactivated by default. You have to activate the "ufw" firewall yourself:
- First open the terminal under Linux Mint, for example using the key combination [Ctrl] + [Alt] + [T].
- Now enter the command "sudo ufw enable" and confirm with the [Enter] key.
- The firewall is now activated. You can use the "sudo ufw status" command to get the status.
- Tip: With gufw you get a graphical user interface for the firewall. Use the following command: "sudo apt-get install gufw -y".
