If you want to know which version of Linux Mint you have installed, you can quickly display the number. We'll show you where to find the version number.
Show version in Linux Mint
- First start the terminal under Linux. You can find this at the bottom left in the task bar, in the start menu or by pressing the key combination [Ctrl] + [Alt] + [T].
- Enter the command "lsb_release -a" and confirm it with the [Enter] key. You will then see your Linux variant, the release number and the code name.
- There are also numerous other commands that lead to a similar success. These include "cat / etc / issue" and "cat / proc / version", as well as "uname -a".
