FPS drops are mostly caused by old or faulty drivers and can quickly reduce the fun of the game. In this article we show you how to fix FPS drops in LoL.
LoL: FPS-Drops fix by lower graphics settings
Your computer may not be able to display LoL smoothly at high settings. In this case you should go to the LoL settings and lower the graphics. You can see here whether your PC is fast enough for LoL.
- Turn shadow and anti-aliasing on or off. By far, these eat up the most power.
- You can also lower other settings and test how this affects performance.
LoL: Fix FPS drops by reinstalling the drivers
To fix FPS drops in League of Legends, you should among other things reinstall the driver of your graphics card. To do this, follow these steps:
- To safely remove your old driver, download the Display Driver Uninstaller here.
- Start the tool and use it to uninstall your old graphics card driver.
- Download the latest graphics card driver for AMD, Nvidia or Intel and install it.
- Most issues should be fixed now and you shouldn't have any FPS drops in League of Legends anymore. If this is still the case, just follow the next tip.
LoL: Fix FPS drops through Windows tweaks
You can also make some changes in Windows that can significantly increase the performance of games.
- Uninstall programs you no longer need and empty your trash. The more storage space Windows has, the more virtual memory it can provide.
