LoL Guide: Twitch adc
Twitch is an outstanding and very own AD carry in the League of Legends. With this LoL guide you make the ADC the best in the field.
The rat's skills
Twitch only gets really good at the end of a game, but his stealth skill gives him many wonderful options for causing trouble to his opponents and terrifying them. His poison always ensures kills that other champions would have escaped.
- "Ambush" (Q) makes Twitch invisible for a few seconds and then lets it reappear from scratch with increased attack speed. Its advantage over Teemo, who has a similar, passive skill, is the freedom of movement. If the skill is activated, it can still act freely, but it takes longer to camouflage if it is involved in a fight. Aggressive camouflage can help with an escape, but the extended time is essential and not infrequently fatal. The mixture of utility and buff makes "Ambush" an important skill, because you should take Level 5 straight after "Expunge".
- "Venom Cask" (W) is an area spell that slows down all affected enemies and gives you two loads of poison directly. This is a great way to initiate a gank to make escaping difficult and to prepare "expungees". One point at level 2 or 3 is enough, at level 5 it is best to bring "Venom Cask" towards the end of the match.
- "Expunge" (E) attacks all poisoned enemies around Twitch. The more poisonous loads are currently working, the more direct damage is triggered by Expunge. That is why it is always worth waiting for a gank until the maximum of six poison units has been reached before triggering expunge. The poison from Twitch's passive skill then continues to work regularly, so use Expunge whenever it makes sense. Accordingly, this skill should also reach level 5 as the first.
- "Spray and Pray" (R) is Twitch's Ultimate. For a few seconds, his auto-attack arrows shoot through all enemies and have a longer range. Combine that with high attack speed and on-hit effects like Twitch's built-in poison and you have a deadly machine. If you stick with it in a team fight and then trigger "expunge", you can easily get a pentakill.
AD carry runes for Twitch
Twitch is an AD carry, as it is in the book, and accordingly also receives runes that make his life in Bot Lane easier and also make him the destruction machine that he is supposed to be at the end of the match.
- Marks: In order to have fewer problems with the gold last hits and to be able to make nastier poks, use simple attack damage marks. For a stronger late game, on the other hand, armor penetration marks are worthwhile. Alternatively, Attack Speed works fine on Twitch, but that makes the start of the game a little more difficult.
- Seals: Armor runes are mandatory to be able to better poke pokies from opposing Carrys. If this is too easy for you, you can also install the less efficient attack speed seals here to increase your damage.
- Glyphs: The AD carry is almost always the first target for the AP Carrys from mid lane, so magic resist runes are mandatory for the glyphs. If you fear strong magic attacks from the start, take the direct boost, otherwise it is advisable to take the scaled runes, which become equivalent and increasingly stronger from level 7.
- Quintessences: With Attack Damage you are always right with Quints, but Life Steal or Movement Speed are also useful if you tend to be more utility.
Rat Masteries
AD Carrys are glass cannons that, while keeping themselves as far away from their opponents as possible, do a lot of damage as long as they can. This is reflected in the 21/9/0 masteries.
- Offense: Twitch takes everything that has anything to do with Attack Damage. You should only do without "Butcher" and "Destruction". You don't need the two additional damage points because you have the right runes. For the Summoner Spells "Ignite" and "Exhaust" the point in "Summoner's Wrath" is worthwhile, which you can chop off directly with "Fury" or also with "Brute Force"
- Defense: Invest in more life points through Durability and Veteran's Scar, and push the remaining Armor and Magic Resist points. The three points in "Hardiness" are usually more worthwhile than in "Resistance".
- Utility: Usually Twitch is not played with utility, but the speed bonus of "Wanderer" works very well in combination with "Ambush". In addition, "Summoner's Insight" and "Mastermind" can save your life with Flash's reduced cool-down. "Runic Affinity" is a nice bonus if you collect the Red Buff regularly later.
The right equipment for Twitch
You want to make large holes as quickly as possible. That screams for "Phantom Dancer" and "Infinity Edge".
- Depending on the support you start with "Doran's Blade" (with competent healers like Soraka) or shoes and three healing potions.
- Get a "Vampiric Scepter" as a preliminary to the "Bloodthirster" or "Blade of the Ruined King" and buy "Berserker's Greaves" for the Attack Speed after the basic shoes, if you don't need defensive items due to the situation.
- If you have enough money through kills, go directly to a "BF Sword", otherwise invest first in a "Zeal" as a preliminary to the "Phantom Dancer" and then save the parts of the "Infinity Edge" together.
- Then finish the "Phantom Dancer", then it is up to your preference whether you build "Bloodthirster" or "Blade of the Ruined King" from the scepter.
- When you have finished the core, you can add a "Last Whisper" to the build so that tanks don't have a chance either. If you really want to overdo it, a "Black Cleaver" also helps armor wearers to cry. If you are not creative, a second "phantom dancer" is also an option that increases your attack speed and your crit chance. "Runaan's Hurricane" delights Attack Speed fans and spreads three portions of poison with the triple shot. The item is therefore incredibly fun as a Twitch, even if it is not absolutely necessary.
- A very good defensive option for Twitch is "Frozen Mallet". A little extra damage, a few life points and an on-hit effect that you can sustain with your enormous attack speed.
Summoner Spells
Flash is mandatory for AD Carries in order to get away in an emergency. Twitch is no exception. But whether you want to play very aggressively with "Ignite", prefer a more defensive "Exhaust" or are very careful with "Cleanse" or "Barrier" is a preference question. It is only important that you adapt your masteries.
Basic tips for rat care
- It always creates confusion when opponents cannot see a champion. But if this champion can disguise himself, it will work even better. Their disappearance is usually reported quickly. Panic by briefly squeezing out.
- Twitch is an attack speed monster, deviate from the proposed item build and try out on-hit effects.
- Camouflaging yourself in your bush can hit many enemies in the back because they suspect you are just waiting. Run camouflaged into your opponents' escape path and use your burst to destroy your life points in no time.
Essential for every fight in League of Legends is not only that you master your champion, but also the knowledge of your opponents. If you regularly want to quickly look up who you have in front of you, the League of Legends Champions app is definitely a good companion for you.
