Lubuntu: Take screenshots - Here's how
If you use the Linux version Lubuntu as an alternative to Windows, you have probably already asked yourself how to take screenshots. In the following practical tip, we will show you how to do it.
Take screenshots under Lubuntu - Here's how
Lubuntu is primarily designed for older and weaker devices and is therefore ideal for, for example, old netbooks. However, the snipping tool known from Windows is not on board. However, you can take a detour through screenshots. That's how it's done:
- Call up the desired screen and simply press the "Print" or "Print" button.
- Your screenshot is saved in the user folder under / home / username as a png file.
- To extract certain windows or parts from your screenshot or convert the image format, simply open it in an image editing program, such as GIMP.
