Find out MAC address of printer - how it works at HP, Epson and Co.
In many cases, if you want to find out the MAC address of your printer, it is not that easy. We'll show you the options.
Instructions: Find out the MAC address from the printer
- Turn on the printer and look in the menu. If the printer has a display, there is a good chance that you will find the MAC address in the settings.
- Alternatively, you can often print out an info page. The MAC address is also on this page. If your printer does not have a display, check the manual for the right key combinations.
- Alternatively, you can read out the MAC address from the command prompt under Windows. Use the command "arp -a" (see picture). You will find the MAC address in the "Physical address" column. To do this, however, you need to know the printer's IP address.
In the next practical tip, we will show you how to share your printer in Windows 10.
