Turn Mac on and off automatically
If you use your Mac every day at work or at home, you can have it turn on and off automatically. We'll show you where to find the appropriate settings.
Turn Mac on and off automatically
You can set automated sleep from your Mac's power schedule. To do this, proceed as follows:
- Open the system settings. You can find these in the "Programs" list in the Finder.
- Select the menu item "Save energy".
- Click on "Schedule ..." in the lower right corner.
- With a check mark at "Start or wake from hibernation" you can start your Mac at a certain time or wake it up from the hibernation. The second check mark at "Activate hibernation" shuts down your PC in the evening or puts it into energy-saving mode.
- Finally, set different times and days for each function to activate the schedule.
