Disable resume in Mac OS X - so it'll work
Since Mac OS X version Lion, your Mac remembers which programs and files you opened when you shut down your Mac. You can deactivate the feature in the system settings.
- Open the system settings via the Apple menu.
- Click on "General".
- In the dialog window, set "None" to "Used objects".
- Exit the system settings via the menu. The next time you start, no used apps or files will be opened.
