Mac: set screen saver
If you want to set a screensaver on Mac, you have many different motifs to choose from. There are different topics and different animations.
Set up screensaver in MacOS
Under the system settings you will find some options to set a screen saver. There are various slide show topics like "Kosmos" or "National Geographic".
- Click System Preferences in the Dock menu below. Then select the menu item "Desk & screen saver". Now click on the "Screensaver" tab.
- You will now see various options on the left. You can choose different slideshows. You can select the photos for the slideshows from a few topics or simply specify a folder with your own pictures.
- If you scroll down further, you can also select one of the screensavers. There are animations like "Arabesque" or "Shell". The iTunes screensaver is also really successful: Your iTunes covers are animated here.
- By clicking on the "Active corners" button, you can assign functions to the pages of your screen saver. For example, you can see your message center or dashboard on your screen.
