Mac: Connect the Bluetooth mouse and configure it correctly
This practical tip shows you how to connect a Bluetooth mouse to your Mac.
Connect and configure the Bluetooth mouse with Mac
- Check in advance whether Bluetooth is activated on your Mac. To do this, click on the Bluetooth symbol in the menu bar on the right. If necessary, select "Activate Bluetooth".
- Turn on the bluetooth mouse.
- Click on the apple icon in the top left and select "System Settings".
- Then click on "Mouse".
- In the newly opened window, select the entry "Configure Bluetooth mouse".
- The area is now searched for your Bluetooth mouse.
- After the mouse is found, you can click "Continue". The mouse is now successfully paired with the computer.
- You can then configure your mouse: You can, for example, deactivate the trackpad or switch off mouse acceleration.
