Mac: Show CPU usage - how it works
On Mac, you can view CPU usage just like in Windows. We show you in this practical tip how exactly this works.
Find and display CPU usage
- Open "Spotlight". This is the Mac search that you can find on the top right of your screen right next to the clock.
- Search for "Activity Monitor" and then open it. Now click on "CPU" (see screenshot) to display the load, the current processes and much more.
- As an alternative to the Spotlight search, you can also use the "Finder". Navigate to "Programs" and then click on "Utilities". Now open the "Activity Viewer".
Tip: You can also get the maximum memory out of Mac OS X for yourself. Here we show you how to do it.
