This practical tip explains how to delete files on your Mac using the terminal command.
Delete files on Mac using the terminal command
- First open the terminal window on your Mac.
- Type in the command "rm -rf". Note the space at the end of the command.
- You can now enter the path name of the file to be deleted or simply drag the file into the terminal. The path then appears automatically at the end of the command.
- Finally, confirm your entry with the Enter key to permanently delete the file.
