Mac: change the date - how it works
In some cases it can be helpful to change the date of the Mac. In our practical tip, we will show you how this works.
Set date on Mac
- Open the "System Settings" via the Dock.
- Click on "General" and "Date and Time". You can change the time and date in this menu.
- If you have checked the "Set date & time automatically" checkbox, you can choose between three different Apple time servers by default. You can also enter and use your own or regional time server here. Enter the server names without entering a protocol.
- If you want to set the time and date manually, you must remove the check mark from the "Set date & time automatically" checkbox.
