Here's how to clean up the desktop on your Mac
If you have created several folders or are working with program shortcuts on your desktop, it can make sense to establish a certain order.
- Press the [Ctrl] key on your keyboard and click on an empty space on your desktop.
- Now choose between "Clean Up", "Clean Up By" and "Sort By".
- With the latter two options, you can sort by criteria such as "name" or "modification date".
- If you have already cleaned up your desktop, ie the symbols are in the grid, you can only sort them.
- If you would like to show more information about the symbols, use the combination from the first step to open the window and tap on "Show display options".
- Now decide between different text and symbol sizes and other display options such as "Show object info".
