Copy on Mac: Fix Error 36
- Try restarting your Mac. Many problems can be solved very easily.
- You can also try to eject the hard disk or alternatively the USB stick or the SD card once and then read it in again.
- To do this, drag the icon of the respective drive to the trash. Then you have to restart the Mac or reconnect the devices.
- However, if it is only one file, you can try renaming it. Make sure that there are no umlauts or special characters in the name.
- Check the hard drive using the hard drive utility. There may be a defect here.
- You should also use the disk utility to check access rights. To do this, select the hard disk or volume and click on the "Check volume access rights" button. Wait for the process to finish.
- If necessary, you must then repair the access rights again by clicking on "Repair access rights for the volume".
- Another trick: Try adding the files or the folder you want to copy to a ZIP archive in order to transfer it afterwards.
