Mac: Update Java - Here's how
In this practical tip, we explain how you can update Java on your Mac.
Check and update your Java version via the Mac settings
- Open the "System Settings" and click on "Java".
- Then select the "Reopen Java Control Panel" option.
- Here you switch to the "Update" tab.
- Click on the "Update now" button. If this is not available, then your Java version is up to date.
Alternatively: Remove Java and install a new program version
If you want to be on the safe side, you can uninstall your current Java version and import the latest update by hand. We show you how to do this in our video.
