Mac: Show Library - Here's how
The library is hidden by default on newer versions of OS-X on your Mac. Here we show you how to view the library. There are unique and permanent solutions for this.
View Mac Library from the Dock
- Open the Finder.
- Open the "Go" menu in the task bar and hold the alt key.
- Select "Library".
Show OS-X-Library via the Finder button in the Dock
- Right-click the Finder icon in the Dock.
- Select "Go to Folder ...".
- Enter the path under which the library can be found in the input field and click "Open". Usually the path is / Users / username / Library.
Make the library folder permanently visible with a terminal command
- Start the terminal.
- Enter the following command: chflags nohidden ~ / Library
- The library is now visible. You can hide them again with the following command: chflags hidden ~ / Library
