Mac: mouse pointer disappears - you can do that
If your Mac is a little overloaded, the mouse pointer may disappear. We'll show you how to solve the problem.
Mouse pointer disappeared on Mac - that helps
The problem has been known for a long time under Mac OS X, but is now becoming less common. The following two measures are successful in most cases.
- If you press the "cmd" + "Tab" buttons at the same time, you can switch to another program. Repeat the key combination if the mouse pointer reappears.
- If that doesn't help, press the "alt" + "cmd" + "esc" keys at the same time. If the "End programs immediately" window has opened, the mouse often reappears. If that doesn't work, quit all programs.
Mac: mouse pointer disappears - what to do?
Restarting the problem will always fix it. But this always takes a few moments. It works faster by changing the mouse size.
- Open the "System Settings" and select the "Accessibility" there.
- Under the category "Display" you will now find the item "Cursor size".
- If you change the size of the cursor briefly, it will then be displayed again. You can then reset the mouse size to its original size.
