You can use multiple workspaces on your Mac computer at the same time. This makes sense if you are working with many programs at the same time. In our guide you will learn how it works.
Use multiple workspaces with MacOS
In MacOS, the work surface is called a "desk". You can set up multiple desks to perform different tasks on multiple surfaces.
- First you have to activate the menu for "Mission Control". To do this, simply press the F3 key on your keyboard. If you are using a trackpad, you can open the "Mission Control" menu with a swipe gesture. To do this, swipe up with four fingers on your trackpad.
- With "Mission Control" you can now see your active desks (see picture). If you now move your mouse pointer to the right of your active desk, a plus symbol will appear. With one click you can add as many desks as you want.
- With "Mission Control" you can now change your desks at any time. Optionally, this also works by swiping four fingers to the right or left over your trackpad.
