Mac: Combine several pictures - how it works
On your Mac, you can also merge multiple images using board tools. We show you how this works in this practical tip.
Merge multiple images under MacOS
- Open the respective images in the preview application.
- Change to the first image and press the key combination [CMD] + [A] to highlight the whole image and then [CMD] + [C] to copy it.
- Now click on "Tools" in the menu bar and then on "Size correction".
- Remove the check mark at "Adjust size proportionally" and switch to the unit pixel.
- You now have to expand the image by the respective pixels of the other images. To find out the pixel sizes of the other images, open the images in the preview and press [CMD] + [I]. Add the extra pixels to the original image.
- Now click on "OK" to expand the image.
- Now press [CMD] + [V] to insert the picture back in its original size. Push this into the respective place.
- Now copy all other images with the key combinations [CMD] + [A], [CMD] + [C] and [CMD] + [V] to paste them.
- You can then save the file with [CMD] + [S].
