The classic among Macs offers you the most power but also the highest power consumption:
- The 27-inch iMac consumes a maximum of 240 watts. The 21.5-inch model is satisfied with 119 watts. At a price of 0.3 euros / kWh, you would pay 72 cents for 10-hour operation for the 27-inch model and 35 cents for the 21.5-inch model.
- iMacs are expensive compared to normal PCs and cost 1249 euros for 21.5 inches and 2099 euros for 27 inches.

MacBooks are content with low power and are portable, but they also cost significantly more than other notebooks.
- Very energy-saving components are built into MacBooks. They consume about a fifth of what a normal iMac uses. For 10 hours of operation, you can expect costs of around 7 to 9 cents.
- MacBooks also belong in the upper price segment. For the normal MacBook Pro Retina with 13.3 inches you pay 1249 euros and for a MacBook Pro with 15.4 inches from 2479 euros.

The Mac Mini hasn't had an update for a long time. If the Mac Mini continues, you can count on new energy-saving processors in the future.
- The current Mac Mini consumes a maximum of 84 watts and is therefore positioned between the iMac and the MacBook. With 10 hours of operation, the Mac Mini consumes about 25 cents of energy.
- You can get a Mac Mini from 569 euros. This makes it the cheapest Mac in the Apple lineup.
