Mac: Connect NAS automatically after startup and hibernation
Your Mac automatically disconnects from network devices before it goes to sleep. But if you want to reconnect your NAS directly, you have to do a little trick. You can deal with the fact that you have to re-integrate your NAS after each hibernation.
Mac - NAS reconnect automatically
So that you do not have to manually connect your NAS every time, you can add it to the "Login objects". Here's how to do it:
- Connect your NAS once as normal. The easiest way is to use the Finder. To do this, select the "Go to" tab and then "Connect to server". You can then enter the address of your NAS.
- In the Finder, your connected NAS now appears as a hard disk on the desk or in the Finder.
- Open the Control Panel and select the "Users & Groups" button. Select your own user there.
- Open the tab "Login objects" at the top.
- Drag and drop your NAS network hard drive to the "Login Objects". This is now displayed as a folder. Your hard drive will be automatically re-integrated after the idle state.
