Mac: Set up new users
In Mac OS, you can set up new users at any time in the system settings. There is a separate menu for managing multiple users on your Mac computer. We show you how it works.
Set up additional users on Mac OS
Simply add new users in the system settings of your Mac computer. There are also special options for the login window.
- Open the system settings in your dock.
- Select the menu item "Users & Groups" under »System«. If the content is protected, you must first enter your administrator password by clicking on the lock symbol at the bottom left (see picture).
- Then click the plus icon to the left under the window for users. Now you only have to enter some data such as name, password or a reminder.
- If you want to remove a user, select the user from the user window and simply click on the minus symbol.
- Under »Login options« you can make settings for the login window or set an automatic login.
