Some basic information is stored in NVRAM on Mac OS, which you can delete if you have problems with a reset. We show you how to do this.
Reset NVRAM on Mac
The NVRAM primarily stores information about the start volume, the volume and the screen resolution of your Mac. A reset can help with problems.
- To do this, turn off your MacBook or Mac completely.
- Then switch the device back on and press the key combination [alt] + [cmd] + [P] + [R] directly after the start sound.
- Press and hold the four buttons until the device restarts and you hear the start tone again.
- Your Mac or MacBook will now boot up normally with a reset NVRAM.
