Mac OS: Find all devices on the network
When working in the network, it may also be necessary to find all connected devices under Mac OS. In this practical tip, we will show you how this works.
Find devices on the network on Mac OS
You can already find some connected network devices in the Finder. However, this list is not exhaustive. So no network cameras or routers appear there.
- The LanScan application, which is available in the Mac AppStore, can help. The app is available in a free and a pro version. The free version is sufficient for most applications in the private network.
- After starting the app, you can start the network search with the "Lan your Scan" button. If you are connected to several networks, you can select which network you want to scan from the bottom left.
- After the search, you can view the respective IP, MAC address and network name for each device. The entries can be copied with a right click.
