Mac OS: Enter a non-breaking space - how it works
You can also enter a non-breaking space in Mac OS - for example in Pages. We'll show you how this works here.
Enter a non-breaking space in Pages
If you put a non-breaking space in Pages, you can be sure that your text will later look exactly as you imagined it.
- To do this, move the cursor to the position where you want to place the non-breaking space.
- Then press the two keys [Alt] and [Space] at the same time.
- This means that there is a non-breaking space at this point and the line is no longer broken at this point.
- This trick also works in many other programs on Mac. The key combination is always the same.
Just like in Pages, you can easily create a non-breaking space in Word.
