Regardless of whether Mac OS Yosemite, El Capitan, Sierra, High Sierra, Mojave or Catalina, in all versions you can change the color of the folders as you like.
- To do this, select the desired folder on your Mac and right-click on it.
- Then select the "Information" option in the context menu. Then a small window opens.
- Click on the folder icon in the top left of the window and copy it with the key combination [cmd] + [C].
- Now open the "Pages" program and insert the image again with [cmd] + [V].
- If you click on the image in Pages, you will find several sliders at the top right.
- This allows you to change a wide variety of settings on the image, so that the color also changes.
- Copy the color-changed folder again with [cmd] + [C] and paste the image again with [cmd] + [V] in the "Information" window.
- When you close the window, the color of the folder has changed.
