How to close all windows at the same time on Mac OS X.
Make sure you save all important files before closing the windows. Then do the following:
- Simultaneously press the key combination [CMD] + [ALT] + [W]. This closes all windows.
- If you only want to close all open windows of a program, hold down the [ALT] key and click on the red close symbol in the upper left corner of the window bar. If you click the yellow minimize icon instead, the program windows in your dock disappear.
