Mac OS X: Cancel a print job - so it'll work
You can cancel a print job started under Mac OS X at any time. This situation is known to many: an incorrect print job was started accidentally or a typo was discovered. This will stop the print job that has started.
Cancel a print job on Mac OS X.
After the print job you have started has been started, a printer logo appears in the docking bar at the bottom of the screen with the respective number of the print jobs.
- Click the printer logo in the dock bar.
- Now select the desired print job.
- Next, press the X icon next to the print job.
- The print job can also be deleted after selection via [CMD] + [Delete].
- If a printer symbol does not appear in the lower bar, open the "System Settings" in your dock and select the "Printers & Scanners" item here. If you click on the "Open printer queue ..." option, you will be taken to the same menu as in the previously described method.
