Mac OS X El Capitan: Check flight status - how it works
In this practical tip, we will explain how to check the flight status under Mac OS X El Capitan. You can currently use the new feature in the Notes app. Unfortunately, it doesn't work with Spotlight search yet.
Mac OS X El Capitan: Check flight status using the Notes app
You can find out the flight status of a flight using the Notes app.
- Open the "Notes" app and enter the abbreviation of the airline.
- Here you can enter the abbreviated name of the airline (e.g. LH for Lufthansa) or the full name, followed by the flight number.
- If you move the mouse pointer over this text, the flight will be recognized automatically.
- In a small window with a map, various information about the flight is now displayed, including the current "status" and the arrival time.
- Incidentally, this function also works under IOS 9. Here, too, you can access flight information directly from the airline and flight number in the Notes app.
