Mac OS X: Create reminders - how it works
This guide shows you how to create reminders on Mac OS X. You can use the Mac's electronic calendar to do this.
How to create reminders on your Mac
If you work on your Mac, your device reminds you of appointments you have created yourself. The following section explains how to do this:
- Open the Mac internal reminder program by clicking on the magnifying glass in the menu bar and entering "Reminders". Confirm with the [Enter] key.
- Click the plus at the bottom and name the reminder.
- List the individual tasks on the right in the white column. You add a new task by clicking on the next blank line.
- Move the mouse over the task. An info button appears on the right. Choose this.
- Now select the time of the reminder and whether it should be repeated. For example annually for birthdays or weekly for regular meetings.
- Set the priority in the same menu by clicking on "Priority: None" and selecting a new one.
- Finally confirm with "Done".
