Mac OS X: Clear Flash Cookies
You cannot delete flash cookies on a Mac by removing browser cookies and history. We show you how it works anyway:
Find and delete Flash cookies on Mac
Flash cookies (correct: Local Shared Objects = LSO) are stored for each user in a hidden directory within their home directory.
- Open the Finder.
- Press the key combination [Shift] + [cmd] + [G] or use the menu selection "Go to"> "Go to folder".
- Enter the following path in the input mask: "~ / Library / Preferences / Macromedia / Flash Player / # SharedObjects". Then click the [Open] button.
- Below the "#SharedObjects" directory are one or more directories with names such as "XNVW2EGY" or similar. To remove all flash cookies, delete these directories.
- Proceed again as described under point 2.
- Now enter this path: "~ / Library / Preferences / Macromedia / Flash Player / macromedia.com / support / flashplayer / sys". Click the [Open] button again.
- Delete the directories below "sys" to remove all flash cookies.
