With Mac OS X you can easily display your internal IP address. We explain how this works in this practical tip.
Mac OS X: Find out the internal IP address
For the internal IP address, it is sufficient to look briefly in the system control:
- Just click the Apple icon in the top left corner of your screen.
- Then click on System Settings and then on Network.
- You will now see a list of your network connections. Depending on whether you are currently connected or not, a green light to the left of the connection lights up. Since this is about the internal IP address, only a connection with a green light is interesting.
- A left click on an active connection shows you an overview on the right. The addresses are then displayed under the heading "Status" (see screenshot).
In another practical tip, we will explain what you can do if you have forgotten your Apple ID.
