How to adjust the contrast in Mac OS X.
If you are working on the MacBook, you cannot change the contrast using the monitor's own settings. Instead, you have to take the detour via the system settings:
- Open the system settings by clicking on the Apple icon in your status bar and selecting "System Settings ...".
- Click on the icon with the caption "Accessibility".
- In the new window, select the "Display" area in the "View" section on the left.
- Now drag the slider for "Increase Contrast" to the left to reduce the contrast or to the right to increase the contrast.
- You do not have to confirm the changes. Just close the window as usual.
