Share your printer under Mavericks
First of all, it is important that all Mac computers are connected to the same network. Then follow our instructions to set up printer sharing:
- Open the system settings in your dock.
- Here you select the "Approval" item.
- In the next window, check the box next to "Printer Sharing" (see picture). On the right you can then select the desired model under "Printer".
- Under "User" you can see which users can use the printer. In principle, access is enabled for every user. However, this can be denied by pressing the plus symbol under "User" and selecting the desired users who can access your printer.
- If you want to remove a user, select the user from the list and then press the minus symbol.
The following practical tip shows you how to change the name and location of your printer under Mavericks.
