Mac OS X Mavericks: Turn off the sound when the volume changes
In Mac OS X, you can also turn off the feedback tone when changing the volume. We'll tell you how it works.
Mac OS X Mavericks: Mute sound when volume changes
The option to switch off the sound can be found in the system settings:
- Open the Spotlight search with "cmd" + spacebar and type in "System Preferences". Then click on the corresponding entry.
- Click on "Sound". Select "Sound Effects" in the horizontal bar of the sound settings.
- As shown in the screenshot, all you have to do is remove the checkmark in front of "Play sound when changing the volume".
