Mac OS X Mavericks: Which programs are compatible?
Even a few weeks after the release of Mac OS X Mavericks (10.9), several programs are not yet compatible. In this practical tip you will find out which ones are involved and which are already running perfectly.
Compatibility list: These programs run on Mac OS X Mavericks
Like its predecessor Mac OS X 10.8, version 10.9 brings with it some compatibility problems. Although the developers had several weeks to adapt their programs, some of them only run incorrectly or not at all. Here you can check which programs are compatible with the new operating system:
- Open the RoaringApps.com website. Then click on the "Enable real-time RoaringApps" button on the left. This is the only way to load the complete database.
- After a short wait you will receive an alphabetically sorted list of all programs for Mac OS X. In the top right you can use the search to filter the results and then check whether the desired application is compatible with Mavericks or not.
- If you want to be on the safe side, wait for the respective manufacturer updates. You can find out whether the program has already been updated for Mac OS X 10.9 on the manufacturer's website.
